Dr Linda Schachter

Sleep and Respiratory Physician

 

Dr Linda Schachter, Medical Director of Sleep Services Australia, graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1989, followed by her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1996; she then proceeded to get her PhD from the University of Sydney in 2006.

Linda is interested in the diagnosis and treatment of all sleep disorders. Linda has a long-term research interest in the effects of obesity on sleep apnoea, lung function, and asthma and the effects of weight loss on these conditions.

She is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Australasian Sleep Association, the American Sleep Association, the American Thoracic Society, the Obesity Society of Australia and New Zealand, A clinical committee member of the Australian Sleep Association (ASA) and the board of the SleepHealth Foundation.

Joanna Baker

Master Dietician and Gut Health Expert

Joanna is a mum, a dietitian and a registered nurse who loves food. Her passion for digestive health stems from a lifelong battle with IBS and food intolerance. She knows first-hand how debilitating this is to live with, but how dramatically better life can be once well managed. This experience is what inspired her to set up Everyday Nutrition in 2013. At Everyday Nutrition, she loves to work one-on-one, helping people to calm their guts and begin to love food and life again. Joanna believes that food should be simple to prepare, good to eat and help you feel great.


In addition, Joanna has experience working in FODMAP testing at FODMAP Friendly and has presented internationally and around Australia, providing education for healthcare providers on functional gastrointestinal conditions, food intolerance, and the low FODMAP diet. Joanna is a committee member of the Adverse Food Reactions Interest Group with Dietitians Australia and sits on the advisory board for the Master of Dietetics program at Deakin University.

Mish Wright, a B.Ed and Dip Teach graduate, is an influential leader and educator in women's health and fitness. Mish won the 2024 Fuel Woman of the Year for her advocacy for women's health in the fitness industry, and was named Educator of the Year in New Zealand in 2023 and Australia in 2021 + 2024.

Mish is the Head of Education at Women's Fitness Education, an RTO that delivers Certificates III and IV in Fitness. This curriculum uniquely incorporates her four women's health courses, which are sold in five countries and offer professional development points. These courses have been completed by thousands of fitness professionals worldwide.

Katrina, a Mum to 3 teens, is a pro at life pivots. After a life in corporate in finance and recruitment, she has spent the last 13 in entrepreneurship and leadership with her online clean beauty and wellness business.  She’s spoken on international stages, sharing her insights with thousands.

Her life took an empowering turn when she was diagnosed with coeliac disease in 2015, which led to the creation of The Empowered Coeliac, a hub for transformative health education. Committed to her wellness journey, she's been alcohol-free for 2.5 years and leveraged her vitality at 50 to climb Everest Base Camp in 2024. She loves simply showing up and making the most of every day, inspiring others to live a life they love.
